My journey as a digital marketing student: when I look back at where I started it feels like I have come a long way. A few months ago ,I had no skills in computers. I did not even know how to use a loptop properly. I used to feel nervous whenever i sawpeople working confidently on their systems, typing fast and using somany tools. At that time, I never imagined that one day Iwould be learning digital marketing and working my laptop with confidence.
Before digital marketing i studied science and worked as a lab technician. After that, i took a career break for some years. Now i have chosen to build my career in digital marketing.IT fields are entirely different from my science stream background. Iam experiencing tension and overthinking about this shift into a IT profession.
But today things are different. Iam on a new journey as a digital marketing student, and every day i am learning something new. This journey has not only given me technical knowledge,but also confidence,motivation,and hope for my future.
Every one was talkingonline business, social media,marketing, and technology, butbicould not understand any of it.I did not even know how to open and manage files on a computer. Many times I thought, “Maybe this is not for me. Maybe I will never learn.”
But something inside me told me to try. I realized that if I keep thinking negatively, nothing will change. So, I decided to take a step. That step was joining to digital marketing.
Learning Step by Step
The first few days were difficult. Everything felt new and confusing. But the trainers at the academy were patient and supportive. They started from the basics, and slowly I began to understand how to use the laptop, how to browse online, and how different digital tools work.
Every day was a new lesson. I learned about search engines, social media platforms, email marketing, and website basics. At first, the terms sounded strange, but with practice, they started to make sense. What surprised me most was how much I began to enjoy the process.
Day by day, my fear turned into curiosity, and my curiosity turned into excitement.
Gaining Confidence
Something amazing happened when I started practicing regularly. My confidence grew. I was no longer afraid of the laptop. Instead, I felt proud that I could now do things that I once thought were impossible.
I remember the first time I created a simple digital marketing campaign. It was not perfect, but it was my own work. That small achievement made me believe in myself. I realized that learning is not about knowing everything from the beginning — it’s about starting and growing step by step.

One day, I want to use my skills to help businesses grow online, maybe even start my own digital marketing agency. Most importantly, I want to inspire others who feel like they cannot learn something new. If I can do it, starting from zero, then anyone can.
A Message to Others
If you are reading my story and you feel stuck or afraid to start, I want to tell you something: don’t give up on yourself. Learning is possible at any stage of life. You don’t need to be perfect to begin. You just need to take the first step, just like I did when I joined CDA Academy.
